COVID-19 SAFETY PRACTICES
Protecting our Patients and Community
Now more than ever we are recognizing that the mouth and body connection for optimum health is crucial. We want your oral health to stay in optimal condition, so your immune system is better able to protect you against outside threats from bacteria and viruses.
Franck Family Dental has always had a commitment to keeping our office safe and we adhere to the strictest sterilization protocols available. We strictly adhere to infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agency’s recommendations.
We have implemented additional steps to be part of our “new protocol” and we are now even better suited to protect and care for you.
- We are a small private practice with just one doctor working per day. This will help keep the number of people within our office low.
- Our waiting room has been restructured with safety in mind. We will reduce the capacity to 3 patients at a time, each in a seat that is 6 feet distance apart. If you prefer, you can wait in your vehicle and we will text you when it is your turn to come in. We pride ourselves on running on time and hope this will help you feel most comfortable. We also ask that you try to leave anyone accompanying you in your vehicle or outside the building at this time, if possible.
- We have removed all magazines or materials that may harbor viruses from the waiting room.
- We have HEPA air filters with UV-C light which remove viruses, bacteria and allergens from the air.
- We will screen and take temperatures on all team members each day.
- We will screen on the phone all patients the day before their appointment and then on the day of their appointment take their temperature and screen again upon check in.
- We have hand sanitizer available and positioned throughout the office as well has hand washing stations.
- Each patient will pre-rinse to help remove not just coronavirus, but other potential bacteria and viruses.
- We can also fabricate peroxide gel trays/periodontal protect trays to improve your overall oral health (and whiten) at home.
- Our staff are equipped with KN95 masks, level 3 masks, face shields, goggles, gloves, and disposable gowns.
- All encounters will follow strict hand-washing protocols and room disinfection protocols. All rooms are designated for single-patient use.
- Any dental procedures generating aerosols will use additional precautions such as rubber dams and Ivory Releaf by Kulzer. (a high-volume evacuation device)
